Survive Your Ideas Beginner Guide

Your first match
Every round, one random player becomes the Writer and types a single word. That word turns into a real event — a tsunami, a dinosaur, a nuke — and everyone in the server has to survive it. You do not need a plan for your first match beyond one habit: when a new word lands, read its warning first and move second.
Words stack for the rest of the match, so the island gets more dangerous the longer a match runs. The last player alive wins, and winning your first match also earns you the Champion badge. Cash is paid out based on how long you survived, so even a match you lose is paying you — as long as you stayed alive a while.

Read the warning, then move
Each word shows a warning before its effect hits, and the right reaction is different for every word. These are the responses the word list documents for the disasters new players meet first:
- Tsunami — get to high ground before the wave lands. Rooftops and towers with ladders are the way up; the word lists also name going underground as an option.
- Lava — the floor itself is the hazard. Climb onto any raised structure and stay off the ground until it passes; it is a short hazard, so the first seconds decide it.
- Nuke — when the warning sounds, sprint for the bunker. Do not spend the warning seconds typing or looting.
- Meteor — it lasts the whole match, and the rocks can smash bunkers, so a roof is not a promise. Keep part of your attention on the sky.
- Dinosaur — a T-Rex hunts players across the island. Keep moving, keep an escape route open, and remember height is the standard answer to anything that hunts on the ground.

Earning Cash, and what it buys
Cash is the main currency, and it is mainly earned by surviving longer in matches. Unlocking entries in the in-game Index can also pay one-time Cash rewards, so trying new words when you are the Writer pays twice: once in knowledge, once in Cash.
In the lobby, a regular item spin costs 10,000 Cash, and you take your best five items into each match. The bigger purchases are the six Cash Meta Words, from 250,000 Cash for /double up to 750,000 Cash for /jackpot — 2,550,000 Cash for all six. The savings calculator on this site works out how many matches any of them will take at your current pace.

Meta Words, in plain English
Meta Words are special words that start with a slash, bought in the Meta Words menu in the lobby. Two examples show the idea: /double makes the next word you type happen twice, and /undo undoes the last word played. Type the slash in the match — without it, the game treats the entry as a normal word and nothing special happens.
Four more Meta Words — /god, /chaos, /reset and /admin — are Robux game passes that you keep forever and can fire once per match. Published guides disagreed with each other about their Robux prices, so this site does not print a Robux number: check the in-game menu before you buy.

Codes: free spins, developer-announced or checked in game
To redeem a code, open the game and select the Codes icon in the upper left corner of the screen. In the tab that pops up, type the code exactly as shown and press Redeem. The current code, THANKYOU, pays 5 Lucky Spins — and unlike most code lists, this site lists a code as working only after redeeming it in the game itself.
