Survive Your Ideas

Tips & Tricks for Survive Your Ideas

None of this is secret knowledge. It is the handful of habits that separate players who last ten minutes from players who die in the first three words, pulled together from the published guides listed at the bottom.

Position first: high ground or hard cover

Survival in this game mostly comes down to two moves: climb to the highest platform, or hide in an enclosed space. Which one is right depends on the word that just landed.

Read the warning, then move early

Every word announces itself with a warning banner, and some play a cutscene. Treat both as the effect already starting: the players who die are usually the ones who waited to see what the word does. Move to your spot while everyone else is still reading.

Know how long an effect lasts

Words do not all last the same amount of time. Some disappear after a few seconds; others stay active for the rest of the match.

Your Writer turn: experiment, it pays

A word you type that is not in the game does not fizzle. The game snaps it to the closest effect it knows, and near-miss spellings still fire — Godzilla comes out as a dinosaur. So guessing is cheap, and it pays twice: the first time you fire a real word, its Index entry unlocks and pays a one-time Cash reward. Trying new words is how the Index, and your Cash, grow.

The defensive play nobody types: clear the weather

Weather words can be answered with weather words. Clear and Day clean up bad weather, so on your Writer turn you can spend your word on removing the storm that is killing everyone instead of adding one more disaster to the stack.

One limit, added in the November 8, 2026 danger-system update: Clear now recharges for 2 minutes after each use, so spend it when the weather is actually killing people, not on the first rain.

Farm Cash the boring way: stay alive

There is no trick to Cash. The honest route is survival time, plus the one-time rewards for unlocking Index entries.

Save one-use effects for the stack you cannot survive

The Robux Meta Words fire once per match. A /ghost or /undo spent on the first word of a match is gone when the fourth and fifth words land on top of each other. Hold them for the stack you cannot out-position.

Grind Mastery one word at a time

Mastery challenges count what your own word does — your tornadoes, your waves — so bouncing between words spreads the progress thin. Pick one word, type it whenever your turn comes, and finish its three challenges before moving on. Do Gojo last: its third challenge needs a Mastered Black Hole, so Black Hole's track comes first.
